Iittala & Arabia Design Centre

The Iittala & Arabia Design Centre has brought together two esteemed design brands in the historic ARABIA135 block. On the 8th floor of the impressive 1930s building, the Design Museum Arabia has showcased the rich design history achievements of both Iittala and Arabia. In 2025, the museum will move to the ground floor, alongside the shop. The new museum focusing on the history of ceramics, called Arabia Museum, will open after renovations in spring 2025.

The activities of the Design Lab Gallery will become part of Iittala’s international event production. In the future, Iittala exhibitions will be seen at design weeks and other design related events. In September 2024, Iittala participated in Helsinki Design Week with the Kaamos exhibition, and in April 2025, Iittala will be featured at the Milan Salone del Mobile. The history of Iittala’s glass design can be explored at the renewed Iittala Glass Museum exhibitions in the Village of Iittala.

Due to these changes, the 8th floor of the Design Centre will be closed to visitors from 6th December 2024. More information about the opening of the new Arabia Museum will be provided in spring 2025.

The store on the ground floor will continue to operate normally throughout the renovation. The store offers consumers the entire range of Iittala and Arabia products, and provides gift wrapping, Tax Free, and international shipping services.
