Arabia's history began in 1873 at Hämeentie 135, the current location of ARABIA135 - The Creative Block. Arabia's history is reflected in the buildings and ceramic works of art on the block, the most famous of which are the reliefs by Michael Schilkin (1900-1962) on the block's facade and at the old entrance to the factory, the so-called Schilkin staircase.
In 2025, Arabia's history and present day will meet in the same space when the renovated Arabia Museum opens its doors on the block's street level, in connection with the Iittala Store Arabia. The museum tells the story of Arabia's development from the perspective of both the ceramic industry and design and ceramic art.
You can explore Arabia's present day in a full-service store, where Iittala and Arabia selections form their own entities. The store also carries selected Fiskars cooking and baking utensils and Moomin Arabia products.
